Hayward GLX-PCB-MAIN board repair (Aqua Logic)
The GLX-PCB-MAIN is the main board of the Hayward Aqua Logic (AQL-P-4, AQL-P-8, AQL-PS-4, AQL-PS-8, also sold under the Goldline name). When the panel shows No Cell Power or Communication Error, the display flashes or goes dark, or a pump or valve stops responding, this board is almost always the cause. We repair it, in 1 to 2 business days, for a fraction of the price of a new board.
Applies to: Hayward / Goldline GLX-PCB-MAIN, all revisions, in the Aqua Logic P4, P8, PS4 and PS8. Original Hayward boards only.
Faults we repair on the GLX-PCB-MAIN
- No Cell Power, No Cell Power 1 or 2: the cell drive section. Check the yellow 20 A fuse first; if a new fuse blows too, or the fuse is good, the board needs repair.
- Communication Error: it can have several causes on the board; we find the one on yours and repair it.
- Flashing display, or a dead panel (after checking the GFCI outlet next to the board).
- High Salt/Amp and Check System with a cell voltage around 40 V or a current around 10 A.
- Burned salt cell plug on the board, with the cell cable connector.
- Pump relay: a pump that won’t start, or never stops.
- Outputs: valves, relays, heater, lights or aux that don’t work.
- Clock that doesn’t keep the time.
- Buttons that don’t respond, after cleaning them with 99% isopropyl alcohol.

The US price includes everything: the prepaid UPS label to send us the board, the repair, the return shipping, brokerage, duties and taxes. Nothing is collected on delivery. The exact price depends on the fault: we confirm it from your photos before you ship, and before any extra work.
1-year warranty on our work and the parts we replace. If we can’t repair the board, you pay nothing for the repair.
Repair or replace the GLX-PCB-MAIN?
A new GLX-PCB-MAIN sells for well over $1,000 at Hayward dealers, when it is in stock. A repair costs a fraction of that, keeps your original board with its configuration, and the repaired board lasts as long as a new one: every repair is tested on our own Aqua Logic test bench and covered by a 1-year warranty.
Exchange board: when we have a refurbished GLX-PCB-MAIN in stock, we can also exchange your board for a repaired and tested one, for customers who need the system back the same day. Ask us.
How it works
- Send us photos of both sides of the board and tell us what the panel shows (repair quote, or text them to 438 448-0782). We confirm the price.
- Fill in the Send a board form. US customers get a prepaid UPS label and the customs paperwork by email; Canadian customers get the shipping address.
- Ship only the board, in a small flat box (about 12 x 9 x 3 in): remove the plastic stands and the green connectors at the top left, wrap it in bubble wrap, and write your name on the box. UPS charges by box size, so a big box costs more.
- Repair in 1 to 2 business days after we receive it, fully tested on our test bench.
- Return by UPS (USA, duties prepaid) or Canada Post (Canada), with the balance paid when the repair is ready.
Near Montréal? You can also drop the board off in Mont-Saint-Hilaire, Quebec (ready the next day), or come by appointment and wait about 60 to 90 minutes.

Is my board a GLX-PCB-MAIN?
It is the large board inside the Aqua Logic enclosure, with the green connectors at the top left and the cell connector at the bottom. The part number is printed on the board. Send us a photo if you are not sure.
What does the US price include?
Everything: the prepaid UPS label to send us the board, the repair, the return shipping to you, brokerage, duties and taxes. You pay US$25 for the label when you order it, and the balance when the repair is ready. Nothing is collected on delivery.
How long will my pool be without the board?
Shipping both ways plus 1 to 2 business days for the repair. From most of the USA, count about a week in total with UPS.
My Aqua Logic is discontinued. Is it still worth repairing?
Yes. Hayward no longer sells the Aqua Logic, which makes a new GLX-PCB-MAIN hard to find and expensive. A repair keeps your system running with its original board and configuration, with a 1-year warranty.
Do you repair clones or other brands?
No. We repair original Hayward boards only: the quality of the copies is too low to repair.
