Terms and Conditions of Repair
Last updated: October 9, 2026
These terms apply to every repair you ask Services NTIC inc. to do, whether you contact us through this website, by email or by phone. By sending us a board for repair, you accept them. Nothing in these terms takes away the rights that consumer protection laws give you where you live (see section 11).
1. Who we are
Services NTIC inc., Mont-Saint-Hilaire, Quebec, Canada. Phone: +1 438-448-0782. Email: reparationchlorinateur@gmail.com. Our shipping address is given once you fill in our mail-in form.
2. Boards we repair
- We repair electronic control boards, mainly for Hayward pool and salt systems, the Carrier ComfortLink Navigator, and induction cooktops. We repair induction cooktop boards for customers in Canada only.
- Induction cooktop boards: you must contact us before shipping the board. We confirm that we can repair it and give you the repair cost before you send it.
- We repair original boards only. We do not work on copies (clones), because their quality is very low. If you send us a clone, we return it at your cost.
3. Price and payment
- The repair price is the one shown on our website or quoted to you before the repair. If the repair turns out to cost more, we ask you before going ahead.
- We charge the repair only once it is completed.
- In Quebec, when the Consumer Protection Act requires it, you get a written estimate before repairs of $50 or more.
- Customers in Canada pay in Canadian dollars, plus the applicable sales taxes (GST/HST and QST). Customers outside Canada pay in US dollars or euros, with no Canadian sales tax.
- You pay the invoice (the repair, the return shipping and, where we prepay them, the import duties) before we ship your board back.
4. Sending your board to us
- You ship the board to us at your own cost and risk. Follow the instructions in our form: how to pack the board, your name on the box, and the customs declaration.
- From outside Canada, declare the board exactly as our instructions say: a defective board sent for repair, with the value shown. If duties, taxes or fees are charged on arrival because the declaration was different, you pay them.
5. Returning your board
- We ship the repaired board back with a tracking number. The return shipping is on your invoice.
- Outside Canada, import duties, taxes and brokerage fees in your country are your responsibility. For the USA, we usually prepay them and include them on your invoice.
6. Boards we cannot repair
If we cannot repair your board, we tell you and you pay nothing for the repair. We return the board at your cost or, with your permission, we recycle it.
7. Boards left with us
If you do not answer or pay within 30 days after we tell you by email that your board is ready or cannot be repaired, we may consider the board abandoned and dispose of it, as the law allows.
8. Our repair warranty
- Hayward boards: 1 year.
- All other boards (for example induction cooktop boards and the Carrier ComfortLink Navigator): 90 days.
- The warranty starts on the day you receive the repaired board.
- It covers our work and the parts we replaced or repaired. If the board fails during the warranty from a covered cause, we repair it again free of charge. If we cannot repair it, we refund the price of the repair.
- Shipping during the first 30 days: if you make a covered warranty claim within 30 days after receiving the board, we pay the shipping to us and back. After 30 days, you pay the shipping. Customs duties, taxes and brokerage fees are never covered.
- How to make a claim: contact us first by email with your name, the board and a description of the problem (photos help). Please do not ship the board before we answer.
9. What the warranty does not cover
- Lightning, power surges, brownouts, or an incorrect power supply.
- Water, moisture, condensation, corrosion, insects or animals (for example ants or rodents).
- Incorrect installation, wiring or connection, or installation that does not follow the manufacturer’s instructions.
- Physical damage: drops, impacts, crushing, excessive heat, fire or freezing.
- Repairs, modifications or repair attempts by anyone else after our repair.
- Problems not related to our repair, including failures of parts we did not repair and of other equipment: other boards, salt cells, sensors, pumps, transformers, keypads, wiring.
- Use outside the manufacturer’s specifications, and normal wear.
- Damage in shipping caused by poor packing when you send the board back to us.
If a board you send back is not covered, we tell you the repair price before doing any work, and you pay the shipping.
10. Limitation of liability
Our liability is limited to the price you paid for the repair. We are not responsible for indirect losses, such as damage to other equipment, water chemistry problems, loss of use, or labour costs to remove or reinstall the board. This does not limit liability that the law does not allow us to limit, such as for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud.
11. Your rights as a consumer
Our warranty is in addition to the rights the law gives you. It does not replace or reduce them.
- Quebec: you keep all your rights under the Consumer Protection Act and the Civil Code of Québec, including the legal warranty and, for appliances covered by the Act, the 3-month warranty on repairs (parts and labour).
- Rest of Canada: you keep the rights given by the consumer protection laws of your province or territory.
- United States: this warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights which vary from state to state. Some states do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts, or the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the limitations above may not apply to you.
- European Union, including France: you keep the protection of the mandatory consumer laws of the country where you live.
- Right of withdrawal: you may withdraw from the repair contract within 14 days after you send us your request, without giving a reason, by telling us by email. If you ask us to repair your board before these 14 days are over, you agree that we start right away. You then lose your right of withdrawal once the repair is complete, and if you withdraw before that, you pay for the part of the work already done.
12. Personal information
We use your information only to handle your repair: to contact you, ship your board, invoice you and keep our accounting records. We never sell it. We share it only with the companies we need for this: carriers, customs and payment services. To see or correct your information, write to reparationchlorinateur@gmail.com.
13. Applicable law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of Quebec and of Canada. If you are a consumer, this does not take away the protection of the mandatory laws of the place where you live, and you may go to court where the law allows you to. Otherwise, disputes go to the courts of Quebec.
14. Changes and languages
We may update these terms. The version that applies to your repair is the one on our website on the day you send us your request. These terms exist in French and English. If the two versions differ, the French version applies to customers in Quebec and in France, and the English version to all other customers.
