Services NTIC inc. repairs electronic boards (pool salt systems and control centers, induction cooktops, Carrier ComfortLink Navigator) in Mont-Saint-Hilaire, Quebec, Canada. This policy explains what personal information we collect on haywardboardrepairservice.com and reparationchlorinateur.com and when you do business with us, why we collect it, who we share it with, and how to use your rights.
In short: we collect only what we need to repair and return your board. Our forms send your request to us by email and the website does not keep it. We never sell your information.
1. Person in charge of personal information
The person in charge of the protection of personal information is the president of Services NTIC inc. For any question, access or correction request, or complaint: reparationchlorinateur@gmail.com.
2. Information we collect
- Quote request: your name, phone, email, country or region, the board type and model, the problem description, the photos you add and, if you come from the troubleshooting guide, your answers to the guide.
- Sending a board by mail: your first and last name, company (optional), email, phone, city, postal or ZIP code, country or region, the board, model, problem, a note and your parcel tracking number.
- Email, phone and text messages: what you choose to write or tell us.
- Payment: payments go through Square, PayPal or Stripe. We receive your name, email, the amount and sometimes your address, but never your full credit card number.
- Returning your board: your name, address and phone for the shipping label.
- eBay purchases: the information eBay gives us to deliver your order.
- Browsing: the troubleshooting guide keeps anonymous counts (no cookie, no IP address kept: only the country, based on your browser’s time zone). Google Analytics sets no cookie without your consent (see section 8). Our web host keeps technical logs (IP address, browser) for the security of the site. The contact form may be checked for spam by an anti-spam service.
3. Why we use it
- To answer your request and give you a quote.
- To receive, repair, test and return your board.
- To invoice you and receive your payment.
- To honour our warranty.
- To meet our legal obligations, such as keeping accounting and tax records.
- To protect the website and understand how it is used, anonymously or with your consent.
We use your information only for these purposes. If we wanted to use it for another purpose, we would ask for your consent first, unless the law allows otherwise.
4. Your consent
When you send us a form, an email or a message, you agree that we use your information for the purposes above. You can withdraw your consent at any time by writing to us. Without some information, such as a return address, we won’t be able to complete the repair.
5. The website does not keep your information
Our forms don’t keep your information on the website: your request is sent to us by email, then the photos are deleted from the server. The email we receive is the only copy.
6. Who we share it with
We never sell, rent or trade your information, and we don’t use it for advertising. We share it only with the providers that help us serve you, and only what they need:
- Google (Gmail): our email, where your requests arrive.
- Square, PayPal and Stripe: payment for your repair.
- Canada Post and eShipper: shipping labels and parcel tracking.
- eBay: if you buy from us on eBay.
- Google Analytics: visit statistics. No cookie is set without your consent.
- Our web host, located in Quebec, which runs the website.
Some pages also show content from other services, such as YouTube videos, links to Facebook or Google reviews. These services may receive your IP address and apply their own privacy policies.
We may also disclose information when the law requires it, for example under a court order.
7. Information kept outside Quebec
Some of these providers (Google, Square, PayPal, Stripe, eShipper, eBay) may keep your information outside Quebec and Canada, including in the United States. The laws there may allow authorities to access it. We choose well-known providers that protect information by contract and with appropriate security measures.
8. Cookies and Google Analytics
The website uses cookies it needs to work. Google Analytics helps us see which pages are useful. It sets no cookie until you accept it in the cookie banner: without your consent, Google only receives cookieless visit signals (Google consent mode). You can change your choice at any time: change my cookie choices. For details, see our cookie policy. Our website does not respond to browser “Do Not Track” signals: the cookie banner is what controls Google Analytics.
9. How long we keep it
We keep your information for the time of the repair and the warranty, then for as long as tax laws require (usually 6 years for invoices and accounting records). After that, we securely destroy it or make it anonymous.
10. How we protect it
Access to your information is limited to the people who need it to do the work. Our accounts are password-protected, the website uses a secure connection (HTTPS) and it keeps no customer requests. If a privacy incident created a risk of serious harm, we would notify you and the authorities as the law requires.
11. Your rights
At any time, you can:
- know what information we have about you and get a copy, including in a structured, commonly used technological format;
- have inaccurate or incomplete information corrected;
- withdraw your consent or ask us to delete your information, except what the law requires us to keep;
- know who we shared it with.
Write to us at reparationchlorinateur@gmail.com. We will answer within 30 days, free of charge. We may ask you to confirm your identity. We make no decision based only on automated processing of your information.
12. Complaints
If you are not satisfied, first write to the person in charge of personal information (reparationchlorinateur@gmail.com). We will do our best to make it right. You can also contact the Commission d’accès à l’information du Québec or, elsewhere in Canada, the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
13. Customers in the United States
This policy describes the categories of information we collect, the third parties we share it with and how you can review and correct it (section 11). California residents and residents of other states have the same rights described above. We do not sell or share personal information for targeted advertising.
14. Customers in France and the European Union
We process your information to perform the repair contract you ask for, to meet our legal obligations and, for Google Analytics, based on your consent. You also have the right to object to processing or ask that it be restricted, and the right to file a complaint with your data protection authority, such as the CNIL in France.
15. Children
Our services are for adults. We do not knowingly collect information about children under 14.
16. Changes
We may update this policy. The date of the last update is shown at the top of the page.
