Electrolux induction error codes: E21, E31 to E37, E71 to E77 and more

Is your Electrolux induction cooktop or range showing an error code? Here is what each code means and which part is involved. The most common ones are E21 and E31 to E36: they come from the induction boards under the cooktop surface. We repair them.

Why the whole cooktop stops working

The Electrolux induction unit has 3 boards: a filter board and one generator board for each side. When it fails, 2 boards are always damaged and the whole cooktop stops. Codes E31 to E37 point to the left side, and E71 to E77 to the right side.

Price

Usually $450 plus taxes to repair the damaged boards of the induction unit. For error code E15 (control board), it’s usually $150 plus taxes. The price is confirmed before the repair. 90-day warranty on our work and the parts we replace. Induction repairs are for Canada only.

What to do for each code

  • E31 to E37, E71 to E77: a board of the induction unit is involved (generator, power supply or communication) on the side shown. This is the most common repair: usually $450 plus taxes.
  • E30, E35, E70, E75: first have an electrician check your home’s voltage (240 V). If the voltage is right, the filter board of the induction unit is at fault, and we repair it.
  • E21: communication is lost between the control board and the induction unit. The cable can be the cause, otherwise one of the boards.
  • E39: turn the power off for 30 seconds. If the code comes back, contact us.
  • E61 to E65: make sure the cooktop’s ventilation isn’t blocked. E51 to E55 and E61 to E65 can come from the coil’s sensor or from the generator board: we help you find which one.
  • E11 and E14: remove anything resting on the touch panel, then turn the power off for 30 seconds. If the code comes back, the touch panel or the control board is at fault.
  • E15: control board, usually $150 plus taxes.

Before turning the power off or opening the appliance, switch it off at the breaker. If in doubt, call an electrician.

How to get it repaired

  1. Contact us with the error code and the model number (or a photo of the rating plate). We confirm and give you the price. Request a quote
  2. Electrolux range: bring only the top part. It comes off in less than 10 minutes, with no experience needed: we send you the instructions. Cooktop: it disconnects easily.
  3. By appointment at our shop in Mont-Saint-Hilaire, Quebec, two choices at the same price: an exchange for boards we’ve already repaired, in about 30 minutes, or the repair of your own boards, in about 3 hours. We show you that everything works on our test range.
  4. At home: we can give you the name of a technician who comes to your home. He removes the boards, brings them to us for repair, then reinstalls them. His price is different: you agree on it directly with him.
  5. By mail, anywhere in Canada: once we confirm, we tell you how to ship the boards.
